The Girl Fridays got an early start this morning, after fueling up on strong coffee we checked out the paper and found there where about seven garage sales. We all found a few goodies but Kim was the lucky one today. She found a vintage Levi Strauss Blue Jean Jacket to resale on Ebay. Kim was doing the victory dance for sure!
We had lunch at the usual place and headed home to end a great day of friendship and fun. Here are a few photos of my finds .

Aarons Birthday Dinner

Hi Everyone!
Will here are the pictures I promised you of Aarons 18th birthday dinner. I forgot to take pictures before we ate, so I got one of Aaron’s plate as he was enjoying his stake. You can see by the blood on the plate he likes his stake still MOOing. I got the stakes at the meat market so it’s okay to eat it like this because it is fresh and not frozen. Aaron dressed up like a golfer for Halloween, he may be 18 years old but he still trick or treats. Happy Birthday Aaron!

A Mother's Child
by Mom
A mother's child is every breath that she takes, walking hand in hand, they are every step that she makes. And as their steps will grow to strides, still a child, in mother's eyes.Every ache and pain they shall feel, mother will share and with love she will kneel. She will pray to God to take care of her child, to protect and guide them through every mile. Her child is the very core of her soul, from baby in arms to an adult they will grow. For to a mother, her child will stay, the precious infant she held that day.

I love you Son

Today has been an absolute beauty! I walked this morning and it was quite cool but soon warmed up. I worked in the yard and got some of my dreaded chores finished. These roses are from my front rose garden. They are simply beautiful. The bushes are quite ugly and bear but they produce flowers all year long. What kind of rose bushes are they, you ask? I have know idea, I’m not like Martha Stewart I don’t label my garden flowers. They came form Wal Mart and all where under 5.00. I’m in the middle of making a special dinner for my son Aaron; he is going to be 18 tomorrow. We are having his favorite foods tonight.

T-bone stakes

baked potatoes with all the trimmings

fresh spinach with bacon

and cooked carrots

The cake is Lemon Pound Cake with lemon glaze {Made by Grandma Kaluza} yum yum. I’ll post pictures of the dinner later.

Afternoon Delight

At 43 years old this is what I call an afternoon delight! NO DIRTY DISHES!!
This feeling of joy when standing over a clean sink is just about as temporary as the afternoon delight I use to expanse { occasionally} when I was in my thirties, if you know what I mean. It’s good while it last but it's over much too soon.
