All Moved In

Good Morning Friends,
We are all moved into the new house and I 'm ready to start making it a home. I still have a few things to do at the apartment but for the most part we are done. Its going to be hard to go back to the apartment and clean because I want to stay focused on the house. I wish all the wonderful day dreaming I have been living before the move where done already but it will take time and a lot of work to see any real results. I will journal my progress as I go. I can tell you this, it feels like home already. We had all the kids over this week end and they had friends for dinner. JOY!! Nothing is really in its place yet but here are some pictures of our fire place.

Good Morning Friends,

My Dear Dad sent me an email today that I thought was priceless. I have bleeped out one word just because, but you can imagine.

The Ultimate Quote of the Day
"Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of _____!"

A NEW STYLE

Good Day Friends
Starting Friday we will finally be moving into our new home
Yes... Friday is the day....Finally!
However...I've been moving in my mind for a few week already
You know how it is.....
when you lay down to rest your tried body
and all of sudden your mind starts to work.
Mostly... Ive been dreaming of how I'm going to decorate our home.
I have made some big changes in my dreams.
For as long as I can remember I have had a love for the shabby chic style.
My own creation of shabby chic any way ....
garage sale finds ...
turning "shabby things" FOUND
into
"chic things" LOVED.
My favorite colors are pink and yellow and anything with flowers.
I think this love has come about though the fact that
I'm the only girl in the home.
Trying to hang on to my identity
as a women in a home full of men.
Any way what I'm trying to get at is ....
This is the second time for me to pack and unpack all my things this year,
and I'm sick of seeing it all.
It seems like just yesterday I was in love with all these Things
Today..... NOT SO MUCH
I'm ready!!
I'm ready to reinvent my style.
To do this I have tried to keep in mind that I'm not the only one
that calls this home.
My first step
1.What makes me the most happy and comfortable?
2. What helps me to feel the most creative and energized?
3. What things do I want to share my space with?
I also asked my DH all these questions as well.
The answer to these questions are Port O'Connor....
Our first Home
Since all that we own will go with us when we retire to POC
I thought why not simplify our home here in Cedar Park
That was pretty easy ...
The hard part is parting with all the beautiful things I have collected
Well not everything goes.
I plan on painting some furniture
and reinventing the purpose of some of our furniture.
Alot of little things will be handed down
to people I love and some will be sold
in order to make money for new things.
Here are a few pictures I found on blogs and web sites
I would like to incorporate some of these ideas in our new style.
I found these pic from all over the web
and never thought that I would be using them
for anything but personal reference.
{ So if any of these pictures belong to you
and I haven't given you credit... please forgive me}

I like the sofa slip covers...
I'll be shopping around for slip covers for our sofas
I think I'll be using this idea in our bed room ....
maybe not as many little shelves as this
but a few above the bed would look nice

I love the window covering!! so simple and inexpensive

I don't have a place for this any where.... But I love it
Donnie needs a place for his office sooo we agreed the only place for it is in the breakfast nook, however he understands that I hate piles of papers and bills in plane view. I think we should find something like this room divider to hide he office mess.
This is from our home in POC

I like the framed mirror, it adds something spacial to a naked area
I think that this would be an easy thing to do in a rent house
with out a lot of money
I want to add blue though out the house
I think it give a beachy feel

I like this but I think its a little to girly for my boys
I want to hang my favorite mirror above the fire place
and use my apothecary jars filled with shells and POC sand
I plan on painting the wall a beachy blue
and carry the blue throw out a few other places in home
Thanks for sharing my day dreams with me
I will keep you up dated with my baby steps
on creating my new style
Blessed
Julia

We're Moving

Some of you already know...
but for those of you that don't ...
We're moving!
Yes we are getting out of the apartment!
Thank God!
Its been a long 8 months in an apartment and I cant take any more.
We found a quite little house in a great neighborhood.
Its even 200.00 less than what we are paying now.
We are still renting but with this economy
we just don't want to take any chances. Yada is happy .. she gets her own place as well

DH is checking if everything is in working order

{ Sorry Chip for not cropping your butt out of this pic,
But dont worry you have a nice behind and no one will even notice}
This little corner is in our bedroom...
I think I'll make it mine

I love this pantry...
The one we have right now is the size of a cereal box

We have never had a fire place before
I hope we still have a few cooler days to enjoy it
Its a gas fire place so no cleaning and buying fire wood.
Ya Me
We also have a two car garage
No more fighting for a good parking place
and lugging my groceries from a mile away.
This is a empty canvas for me and I cant wait to start decorating.

New Car

This announcement is over due and I know Grandma and Grandpa want to see Josh and Leigh's new car so here it is. The kids finally got a new car ... no more taking the bus.
Its a Jeep... sorry, I don't know any more than that about the car
... I'm not go with that kind of stuff, all I know is its a pretty color

Keys of her own

The happy couple
They waited long enough
This picture was taken a few weeks ago so the baby bump
is quit abit bigger now . Leigh is feel pretty good and the count down is on!
65 more days!!

The Rest Of The Store

Part 2 Of Our Week in POC
The rest of the family has arrived and the games or on
We were having some boat issues that needed to be taken care of so we spent our time playing with the link in logs and beach combing until the boat was ready for us.
These kiddos belong to Kim
Alain things we found on the beach

We finely got on the boat and headed for the island
This is my Diva Friend and her DH or should I say her
"Prince Charming"
When we arrived at the beach someone wrote in the sand
"LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART"
It was strange because there wasn't any one else on the beach
We made friends with the Others on the beach

"Big E" is a very curious young man

The Jacubs Family
Savannah gave me a beautiful hair style to thank me for the weekend
All In All ... We had a wonderful week
Thanks Kim for sharing your family with us

Blessed Julia
