Pretty girls

This is Aaron and my girls Yackty and Yada.

My girls { Yackty and Yada } are back from the beauty shop {groomer}. They are so wore out and not in a good mood. Boux missed them all day and all he wants to do is play.

Yackty is 1 1/2 years old

Yada is 8 years old

Yada is 8 years old

Boux

Other news in our life is my granddog as come to live with us. Yes I said my granddog! Our son Josh has a beautiful half lab-half rottreiller named Boux. He is 4 months old and weighs about 47lbs. Josh’s apartment complex tolled him that the limit is 35lbs and he had 24 hours to relocate Boux. Wellllll, being that Josh and Boux are truly in love with each other, guess who he called on. Boux loves it here in the country, he gets to run free and sleep on the sofa. It is truly a dogs heaven in this house hold. My sweet girls, Yada and Yackty {mini schnauzers} are getting use to Bou as will. Here are a few pictures of the new addtion to the family.

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our youngest son Calum! He turned “sweet sixteen” on the 24th.

You will always be my BABY!

Donnie took Calum to HOOTTERS for hotwings and soda. This is Calum and their waitress.

I hope everyone’s Thanksgiving was filled with joy and turkey? I know I got my fill of both. Now that the turkey is put away, its time to start thinking about Christmas and Shopping. I did get my tree up and decorated, and yes I stayed with pink. It was hard for me to just look and reminisce about the children’s old decorations. I managed putting all of them back in their boxes for safe keeping, with the exception of a few that where close enough to pink or white. I’m still working on getting a few handmade decorations finished but for the most part I am all done with the tree. Here is sneek peek of our tree.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL

We are going to my sweet little sister’s home for Thanksgiving dinner this year. I’m being my families two favorite side dishes; Mexican Corn Casserole and Green Bean Casserole. Our family truly enjoys eating, sooo this is one of our biggest Holidays.

Mexican Corn Casserole

3 Cans of Corn {drained}
3 tablespoons of butter
3 tablespoons of flour
¾ cup of milk
1 8oz package of cream cheese
3 tablespoons of chopped pickled jalapeƱos
1 tablespoon of juice form jalapenos

In a sauce pan, combined butter, flour, milk and cream cheese. Cook on low heat; after the cheese melts and the sauce is creamy add jalapenos, jalapeno juice, and corn. Place mixture in a casserole dish and bake at 375 for about 35 minutes.

If you can’t handle the heat, omit the jalapeƱos. Don’t omit the jalapeno juice because it won’t taste Mexican.

Hope you enjoy.

I was feeling a little crafty tonight. I got this cute chest at the dollar store about 15 years ago. The ugly winter green was really in style back then. I’m not an artist! The picture is too close and you can see every mistake but I’m putting it at the top of my kitchen cabinets so you wont see all the little mess ups.I’ve been in the mood for PINK lately.

Here are few pictures of things around my house.

I’ll post more after I decorate for Christmas. My goal is to go pink all the way. I’ve been a very traditional person all my life, especially around the holidays. This year I’m stepping away form tradition when it comes to decorating. Last year no one wanted to help with the tree and when it was time to pack it all away again, no one had time to help. Soooo this year I tolled myself, I said self if you have to do this alone, you really should do it your way. Soooo, it’s going to be Pink this year. This aught to be interesting, ya see I live in the house with my husband and our two sons. What a HOOT this should be.

Mom, Michelle and I were out and about today. Tamaria had an appointment for an ultrasound and the morning was a little stressful so we went and had a cup of strong coffee. I know it doesn’t make any since but there where a lot of things that didn’t make since today. After the appointment we went and had lunch at our favorite spot. I believe in feeding my stress as will as suppressing my fears and smiling when I feel like crying. I’m just a naturalist like that. I'm sorry about that. I’m just a little concerned about my Moms test results. Here some pictures of our morning.

The lunch was wonderful and I was in beautiful company

We started with some warm sour dough bread and real butter

Mom had a cold one

I enjoyed some confort food... Chicken pot pie

We ended the meal by shareing a peice of punkin cheese cake

Hope you had a wounderful day.

Pearl Lee Wilson

It’s hard to believe its been three years since my dearest grandmother went home to be with our Father in heaven. Thanksgiving Day 2005, Grandma Pearly looked out the window by her bed and closed her eyes and went to heaven. I miss her and think of her almost everyday. She was the classic grandma; she cooked and baked like no other. Some of my favorite things she made for us girls where, believe it or not crispy fried liver, homemade French fries, pan fried bread, scrambled bandies eggs, and I mustn’t forget her famous fudge with corn flacks. My sisters and I would spend summers at Grandma Pearly’s farm. For me this was heaven, feeding the cows, picking eggs, and catching fire flies. At night we would lay in bed with Grandma and she would tell us stories about the old days. It was sooo dark at night; the only light was the star light sky and the fire flies in a mason jar beside our bed. My grandmother taught me many valuable lessons in life. She helped me with my math problems, and made me memorize The Lords Prayer. Grandma Pearl believed these where the two things in life that a Lady needed the most. She later tolled me to always sleep with a bra; she said I would understand later. I should have listened to that one.

WHAT ARE GRANDMAS FOR?
Grandmas are for stories about things of long ago.
Grandmas are for caring about all the things you know...
Grandmas are for rocking you and singing you to sleep.
Grandmas are for giving you nice memories to keep...
Grandmas are for knowing all the things you're dreaming of...
But, most importantly of all,
Grandmas are for love.

I've Been Tagged

I have been tagged!!
Thank you Lisa at - A Thing for Roses
I’ve never done this before so I hope I’m doing right.
I don’t even have six friends yet

1. I’m a Momma’s girl. My best friend is my Mom, we talk everyday on the phone and shop and do lunch every Friday. It wasn’t always this way. While growing up we had our differences and growing pains. My Mom is the funniest person I know and is filled with good advice.
2. I’ve been married to my high school sweet heart for 24 years. I met Donnie at the Fayette County Fair on my 15th birthday. He looks a little like Rod Stewart and of course being a child of the 70’s and 80’s I was crazy for Rod. I stocked him for a couple of hours before I got the nerve to ask him to dance. We’ve been dancing every scene.
3. One of the most memorable moments of my life is when I swam with the Dolphins in Mexico. I wished I was a mermaid.
4. I have a passion for purse. I own about 40 handbags at the moment. I just sold about 25 purses at a garage sale last month.
5. Procrastination is my middle name. I’ll clean out a closet just to avoid doing the bills.
6. I’m tolled that I run stop signs. I don’t think you should have to set at a stop sign if no one is coming.
So there I did it. I hope to find more blogger friends soon.

Tamaria, Kim and I hit the sales early and came out a winner today. We found a few garage sales and made our regular stop at Second Chance. We ate lunch at a quant little cafƩ in Fayetteville. We actually took time to take some pictures and play around with the cameras. By the look of these photos you can tell we are not use to posing for pictures, we are usually the ones taking them.
