My darling husband made my Aunt Joy’s famous crock pickles tonight. This recipe has been in the family for as long as I can remember. These pickles are wonderful with sandwiches and hamburgers. Or just enjoy them all by themselves. I hope you get a chance to make your own and add them to your family recipes.
Aunt Joy’s Crock Pickles
1 gallon jar
2 quart water
½ cup canning salt
½ vinegar
Dill
Grape vine leaves
Garlic
Dried red peppers
Foil and Lid
Fill jar with pickles, about 3 peppers, about 8 leaves, Dill, and garlic. Mix water, salt and vinegar in large pot and cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes. Pour liquid over pickles and place foil over top and place led on loosely. After cooling put in the frig. You’ll have great pickles in about 4 to 5 days.
